THE LEEDS ADVOCAY AND COMMUNITY CONCERNS (TLACC)
The Leeds Advocacy and Community Concerns is a voluntary project of the Healing Wings Christian Centre.
About TLACC
- Who we are: TLACC first started up as an independent project that provided free service to speak up for and act on behalf of vulnerable members of the community, helping them secure access to equal opportunities and fair treatment.
Advocacy
- We create a cordial atmosphere that will enhance dialogue between service providers and customers who use the service to ensure that disputes and conflicts are fairly and promptly resolved.
- We work with people experiencing difficulty in accessing community, health and other publicly available facilities in their area.
Support Services
- We provide a network of people committed to the concept of Mackenzie friends in order to ensure that people are treated with dignity and compassion throughout the Immigration process.
- We offer referral services for asylum seekers.
Mediation Service
- Home School Mediation
- Family
- Community
Other areas of work we aim to begin in the future include
- Prison Visits
- Half-way Houses
